Viagra Condom makes a very compelling headline. But what exactly does this novel device do? And why hasn’t anyone put the two together before now?

It's called the Blue Diamond condom because it gets you, well, harder than a rock. But this comes with a gel lube on the inside which contains the drug Zanifil, which is very similar to the sildenafil in Viagra, an erectile dysfunction medication, hence the name.

One doctor is concerned about what would happen if the drug was passed (perhaps via a broken condom) to the woman. However, studies have found that women who take the oral form of Viagra have a very similar response to their male counterparts: blood flow to the sexual organs is increased, leading to arousal. However, it had not been studied extensively and most researchers agree that it is not an appropriate response to female sexual dysfunction.

Now, this condom is currently only available in Belgium and the Netherlands, which means the majority of the world won’t be seeing it in the near future.

If you’ve bought and tried one of these condoms before, give us a shout out. We’d love to hear about (and publish) your experience!

If you really need to make your erection last longer and get harder right now, have no fear. There are other products out on the market which can still help you.

For example, we carry what we call Climax Control condoms. These have benzocaine on the inside, and sometimes on the outside of the condom to keep the person wearing it from ejaculating too soon. These two gels act as a n

umbing agent (they’re also present in things like pain patches) to keep you from feeling too much.

The main problem with these can be twofold: while the numbness chases away any desire to ejaculate immediately, it can also reduce feeling. Viagra and reportedly the Blue Diamond condom fix this by giving the full sensation while keeping you hard. The second problem, at least with many Climax Control condoms is that sometimes, the outside is also coated in the numbing gel. This means that your partner is also numbed, reducing their sexual pleasure.

Durex solved this with the novel idea of putting the numbing agent on only the inside of the condom with their Performax Intense, one of our most popular condoms.

Of course, if you’re looking to increase your hardness, we would also suggest investing in an erection ring. These handy little devils are super cheap, but they're work wonders on your hardness. We recommend nitrile ones for first time users, but you can also get them with small vibrators, like our ever popular Vibrating Johnny
