Trojan Condom Lingo
Raise your hand if you’ve felt personally victimized by Trojan brand's confusing condom names. When I was rewriting the product descriptions of all the Trojan condoms on CondomDepot.com, I dissolved into tears more times than I’m proud to admit. Everything is so similar, it can be real work telling them apart.
But I learned something – Trojan uses certain keywords to denote their different products. And sometimes, they get a little confusing. So, I’ve made this cipher to help you navigate their menu of coital delights, especially for while you are reading up on our Trojan reviews.
Magnum
I’m sure you think you know what Magnum means. Most people associate the Magnum with larger sized condoms, and for Trojan, that’s true. But for other brands, they’re actually on the smaller side of larger-sized condoms. What classifies the Magnums best is their tapered fit. The width at the band is the smallest width on the condom. It gradually tapers out wider, all the way to the head.
Condoms in this category: Trojan Magnum, Trojan Magnum Ribbed, Trojan Magnum Ecstasy, Trojan Magnum Thin, Trojan Magnum XL.
Her Pleasure
You know I’ve got beef with the Her Pleasure label. But when you see a condom from Trojan that’s labeled as being for Her Pleasure, don’t let that turn you away if your love-making doesn’t involve anyone who identifies as a her. Her Pleasure simply means that these condoms are textured. Ribs are the Trojan way of showing texture. Sometimes, these condoms are labeled as Sensations instead of Her Pleasure. That name suits the condom a little better.
Condoms in this category: Trojan Her Pleasure Sensations, Trojan Her Pleasure Ecstasy, Trojan Her Pleasure with Spermicide.
Ecstasy
Trojan Ecstasy condoms don’t come with pleasure enhancing drugs in the lubricant, contrary to what some suspect. The Ecstasy keyword means that these condoms have bulbed heads on the end, making them an excellent fit for folks with uncircumcised penises, or those who have girth issues that aren’t fixed entirely by the Magnum condoms. These condoms typically do not have reservoir tips.
Condoms in this category: Trojan Double Ecstasy, Trojan Pure Ecstasy, Trojan Her Pleasure Ecstasy, Trojan Magnum Ecstasy
ENZ
The Trojan ENZ are the most basic kind of condom on the market. They’re right in the average of sizes, they don’t have anything special (unless otherwise noted), no ribs, bumps, bulbed head, or special lube. They’re kind of just your everyday condom, straight-fit, with a reservoir tip and a water-based lube.

Thin
Trojan’s decision to name one of their condoms the BareSkin was honestly not a great idea. Why? Because they already have a condom called the BareSkin Non-Latex Supra, which is made of polyurethane. And unfortunately, a lot of our customers get the two confused which can be dangerous for someone who has a latex allergy. Sort of like how Durex brand used to have the Avanti Bare condom and the Avanti Non-Latex (now called the Durex Real Feel-- thanks for clearing that up, Durex!). Ugh.
But the actual BareSkin is just a super thin latex condom, nearly identical to the Trojan Ultra-Thin but just the tiniest bit shorter. In fact, Trojan has a number of thin condoms that don't always have the word in their name. So it can be easy to be confused. Unlike the Ecstasy or the Her Pleasure, these condoms may come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes, so it can be difficult to tell which are thin just by looking at them and not feeling them.

Ribbed
Okay, Trojan. You have the Ultra-Ribbed, the Intense Ribbed, the Charged Orgasmic (which is all about the ribs)... like, honestly, Trojan? I’m worried about you. Your mother is too. We want you to come home and stop this nonsense.
These condoms are all about the ribs. Sort of like the Her Pleasure condoms. In fact, why have the Her Pleasure condoms when there are so many other ribbed condoms?

Fire & Ice
A couple years ago, when the Trojan Fire & Ice condom came out, they were kind of the big thing. Combination lubes on condoms had never really been done on a condom before, even though warming and cooling lubes had been around for a while.
Now Trojan has a whole line of Fire & Ice condoms. So if you see the Fire & Ice label on your favorite Trojan condom, it means that they come with a warming/cooling lube combo. Some people find this lube to be uncomfortable or an irritant, so exercise using them with caution! They also contain nonoxynol-9, also known as spermicide, which we do not recommend unless there are no other condom options available.

Extended Pleasure
Trojan only has one climax control condom, the Trojan Extended Pleasure. These condoms come with a lubricant on the inside that numbs the penis slightly, preventing early blast off.
