Pjur Woman Lube Review
Pjur Woman: A 2025 Review – Sleek but Slippery?
As a loyal advocate for silicone-based lubricants and a longtime fan of Pjur products, I was excited to give Pjur BodyGlide Woman a try. Known for their sleek formulations and reliability, I had high hopes for this lube. While it did have its standout qualities, my experience with it was... puzzling, to say the least.
First impressions? Minimalist and body-safe. With only three ingredients—cyclopentasiloxane, dimethicone, and dimethiconol—this lube is both condom-safe and non-irritating. Paired with a LifeStyles SKYN non-latex condom, it performed flawlessly in terms of safety and compatibility. There’s no fragrance, no taste, and it’s even safe for daily use or non-silicone toys.
However, when it came to the application, things got tricky. Despite its reputation as a silicone-based powerhouse, I found myself using half of the 30ml bottle in one session without feeling sufficiently lubricated. In hindsight, I wish I’d grabbed the 100ml bottle. The formula just didn’t deliver the slick, long-lasting glide I’ve come to expect from silicone lubes, which felt a little disappointing for a brand like Pjur.
What stood out most—unfortunately—was its persistence in the wrong places. While my inner thighs gleamed with an oily film that refused to budge (even after a good shower and generous scrubbing), the areas where I needed it most felt... strangely dry. This duality made me nickname it the Houdini of lubes: vanishing where it should shine and sticking stubbornly elsewhere.
The bottle design was another miss for me. The opaque white packaging felt less premium compared to Pjur’s usual sleek, clear, or bold bottles. And the cap? It required four full rotations to open, which made quick, one-handed applications nearly impossible. That said, if you're not in a rush, this might not be a dealbreaker.
Still, let’s give credit where it’s due: the formula is safe, hypoallergenic, and works well in specific scenarios, like gentler activities or toy use. For those who prefer a light, barely-there lubricant and value safety and simplicity, Pjur Woman might still be worth considering.
For comparison, I recently reviewed ID Millennium, another silicone-based lube, and it took just a few drops to get the job done. While Pjur Woman didn’t perform quite as expected for me, it may work better for those with different preferences or needs. Every body is unique, and Pjur's reputation for high-quality, safe products remains intact—even if this one wasn’t a perfect fit for me.
