Perhaps Wet has bitten off more than they can chew with this 4-in-1 Fun Flavors Heated Lotion that is also a flavored lube and a warming massage lotion.

2023 UPDATE: Sadly, this product has been discontinued by Condom Depot.

Whew, that’s a whole lot of features for a little 10 ml lube pillow, especially considering it only has three ingredients listed on the package: glycerin and natural and artificial flavors.

Noting that these simple ingredients did not include water or a warming agent, I contacted Trigg Laboratories, makers of Wet lube, and spoke with Ernie Johnson who was an extremely nice chemist. He explained the nature of this product to me. Mr. Johnson says that this is indeed an anhydrous formula which contains no water or capsicum. The warming effect comes from a chemical reaction called the "heat of hydration," and not from any added ingredients. So, if you normally have sensitivities to warming lubes, this one may not have the same effect on you.

And yet, somehow this multitude of attributes left me wanting more. More moisture, that is. I understand that it is supposed to be a massage lotion and a lube, which is a great idea in theory, but the thick stickiness of this product worked fairly well as a massage oil, but was not at all conducive to use as a personal lubricant.

So, this lead me to think that it must be intended for use during oral sex. However, I used the Tropical Fruit Explosion and the Seductive Strawberry versions of this Wet lotion and I must say, I was extremely let down by these acrid flavors. I’m not going to pull any punches. Fun Flavors Heated Lotion tastes horrible. The strong, pungent taste reminded me of the smell of a sticky-floored dive bar’s rotten beer-soaked bar fruit. And, the smell wasn’t any better. Sadly, both varieties were just nasty.

This was a bit of a shock and a disappointment for me, because Wet make such wonderfully delectable flavors in their other lubes. For instance, Wet Fun Flavors water-based lube (which is way too similar of a name to Wet Fun Flavors Heated Lotion) are absolutely delicious. They taste natural, fresh and leave me wanting more. And, since it also comes in pillow packs and is sugar-free, I’ll be sticking with those, thank you very much.

Those who are prone to getting yeast infections should stay clear of using Fun Flavors Heated Lotion in their vagina, since it has a boatload of pure glycerin in it. But, they are multipurpose and they are safe for use with your favorite condoms or dental dams. So, it’s not all bad, since they are easy to hide away, store and travel with and can be used for safer oral sex.

Final Verdict:

This is the type of product I would use if it was laying around, but I wouldn’t seek out, quest-style. I won’t be going on any arduous journeys or missions to buy Wet Fun Flavors Heated Lotion anytime soon.
