Condom Review: LifeStyles Extra Strength
I can’t say that I have ever used this adjective for describing a condom before-- but the LifeStyles Extra Strength condom can be summed up in just one word: sturdy.
As long as it fits well and is used with a few drops of extra lube, this condom is as durable as they get. In the famous words of Double Dare, this condom is up for any type of physical challenge. But, don’t assume that its robustness reflects on the tactile nature of the latex. This condom may be extra strong, but that doesn’t mean that the material isn’t super soft. Because it is. Really.
Other positive features of the LifeStyles Extra Strength condoms are its appearance and its scent. I am a discerning consumer when it comes to these condom characteristics, and I can tell you that I am generally pretty underwhelmed by manufacturer's efforts to improve the smell and opacity of a lot of condoms. But, this Extra Strength condom defies the competition, and bypasses other stinkier, cloudier condoms with its clear latex and pleasantly bar-soap-esque odor.
The LifeStyles Extra Strength condom measures in at 7.87” x 2.” It had a traditional, straight shape with a graduated reservoir tip (meaning it is not a highly defined nipple shape-- but is gradually integrated into the head shape).
Along these same lines of proper fit, this condom is not extremely stretchy. If this size is too snug for you, try the Trustex Extra Strength Flavored condoms, which are wider or if the length is too short, try the Trustex Extra Strength, which is longer.
I believe this lack of stretchiness is largely due to this condoms’ rather extreme thickness. This thickness can have a two pronged effect for those with subsequently decreased sensations: 1) It may prove to be problematic for those who have trouble achieving an orgasm; 2) It could be a premature ejaculators saving grace.
In fact, those who usually use climax control condoms like the Durex Performax Intense may want to try these condoms as a means of increasing the duration of their intercourse. Obviously, if they are too thick for you or your partner, try a thin condom instead of an Extra Strength one (which tend to be thicker and less stretchy for strength reasons).
Final Verdict:
Without a doubt, this is a remarkably strong condom. It’s nice scent, soft latex material and transparency are its greatest assets. But, its thickness of these LifeStyles Extra Strength condoms could be a plus or a minus, depending on the sensitivity of the penis.
